On the race front, it was the Compton Half Trail Run this weekend and a fantastic win for Jamie Hudson . A brilliant run on a flattish course that was surprisingly challenging, with lots of twists and turns and canal locks to negotiate on the way home. Other TRX Wolves members in the field were John Dixon and Will Hodgkiss , who were both pacing friends around and ran extremely well too. A special mention to second claim member Jon Hart , who became the M45 English Cross Masters Champion yesterday. Another medal and another seriously impressive run. It was also really good to see some excellent work on Saturday over on our home ground for the Birmingham League. You all put in a real effort. It was a hard session and, on top of that, we did some technical work that I hope helps you when it comes to off road racing. We’ll be mixing Saturdays up now with more XC training and some speed work when necessary. This week’s training Tuesday – i54 (Jaguar Land Rover) Warmed up and ready to g...

TRX Wolves AC Weekly Round Up A Big Week for the Wolves What a week for TRX Wolves AC. We hosted our own Tettenhall 5K on Wednesday evening, then just three days later had five complete teams at the Midland Road Relays at Sutton Park. And apparently, for some Wolves, that still wasn’t enough racing. Tettenhall 5K Wednesday saw us host the Tettenhall 5K from St Regis CE Academy, with a brilliant turnout from the local running community and plenty of Wolves racing on home turf. As this was our first attempt at hosting the event, we made the decision to close entries once we reached 100 runners. We wanted to make sure we could deliver the race properly and, most importantly, safely. It’s brilliant to be able to say that we could have sold the race out twice over. Now that we’ve successfully hosted our first one and built such a fantastic team of volunteers around it, we’re ready to grow it. We’re already in talks to host two Tettenhall 5Ks each year, and we’re also close to completing a d...

Races this week! 🐺 It’s all about the Great North Run this weekend. Massive well done to John Dixon and John Bateson, who both put in great runs on what’s definitely not an easy course. 👏 Now it’s relay time! As a competitive club, the relays are a big deal for us, and I hope everyone feels welcome and included. There’s much more to the relays than just running your leg. It’s about the whole club coming together, with support from teammates, friends, family and even pets! The spring relays saw us enter four men’s teams, and we’ve done that again. But this time we’re making a little bit of TRX Wolves history. We have a women’s team too! 🐺 Ellie Kelly receiving her club vest at Saturdays killer hill session. Ellie started to train with us a while back and soon signed for TRX Wolves AC as a first claim member. She will be part of the ladies team making history this weekend at the relays. Great to have you in The Pack. It’s going to be a wonderful day. The team managers and captains wi...

Tuesday saw a fantastic turnout for the time trial. Well done to all of you for getting out there. This massively helped the captains and team managers organise the teams.
