Thats May done then! Another fantastic week for TRX Wolves AC, and there is plenty to look forward to over the coming days. First up, a special mention to Johnny Morris, who has taken the TRX Wolves AC vest international! Johnny was representing the club at Parkrun in Australia this weekend. It's brilliant to see the TRX Wolves AC vest being worn on the other side of the world and a reminder that our members are flying the flag for the club wherever they go. We're also delighted to officially announce that TRX Wolves AC has been accepted into the Birmingham Cross Country League. This is a huge milestone for a club that only began on 1st February. The league has a rich history and is one of the most respected cross-country competitions in the country. We'll start life in Division 3, but our goal remains the same as it has always been: to enjoy the journey, support each other and see where hard work can take us. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible, includi...

A fantastic week of racing from you all. The week kicked off with a great session at Sabrina Road, followed by the Phoenix Flyer at Dawley, which saw some brilliant racing. First claim members: Paul Marson – 17:14 Oliver Jones – 17:25 Robert Cartwright – 18:34 Shaun Bennett – 19:57 Richard Breakwell – 20:56 Rob Tavernor – 21:03 Hannah Corns – 23:45 Some of our second claim members also had strong runs, with convincing overall wins for Beth Tabor and James Neilson, who both broke away from the field and ran superbly. Paul Dean, Anna Moore, Simon Calrow and Russ Blair also ran great races on the hilly three-lap course. Well done to everyone who raced. Friday saw the fast Mid Cheshire 5k, quick but certainly not flat or easy. We had a strong group out racing: Paul Marson – 16:56 Derrick Milligan – 17:39 Joseph Marples – 17:47 Thomas Rowley – 18:42 Mark Illidge – 20:37 Special mention to Paul Marson, who ran a storming race to clock 16:56 and dip under 17 minutes...

So this week a lot of you will be testing out your training. It’s the Phoenix Flyer 5K this Wednesday, where new member Hannah Corns makes her debut for TRX Wolves. Then it’s the Mid Cheshire 5K on Friday, which is usually streamed online, so keep an eye out for links. Good luck to everyone racing. This week’s racing news: Ian Mansell continues to race himself fit with a strong run at Knowle 10K, finishing 4th in 35:19. Tom Pryor paced his mate around the Chester Half. Jack Burns ran the Market Harborough Half. Danni Braine represented her second claim club across multiple events after completing the track session yesterday morning. During the week she also competed in the Midlands Masters Track and Field League in the 800m and 200m, set a PB in the javelin, and competed in the long jump – brilliant effort. Last week we missed Rob Cartwright off the results who also ran a very strong 38 mins at Market Drayton.  Our second claim athletes were also out competing for their clubs...

Well done for another great week of training in the bag. Two really well turned-out sessions this week. One tough one at the Field of Dreams (FOD). Great to see our friends from Wolverhampton & Bilston, coached by Duncan. And wonderful to see the junior Tavenor lads Eli and Jake running round with the group. They did the whole session with such passion and joy. Then we smashed out some tough track work at Aldersley Stadium again on Saturday, sharing the track with Ross Jones’ WolfPack. It’s been a solid week for racing too. Ben Foster, Oliver Jones, Ian Mansell and Mark Judge kicked things off midweek with great runs at the DK10K. Tough course with very little let-up. If there had been a team prize, TRX Wolves would have smashed it, once again packing well and dominating in the black vests. Friday evening saw our Treasurer, Stu Whitehouse, come out of retirement and once again show his class. Stu has put a big block of training in and taken his time coming back from a really h...
