  What a crazy week it’s been in terms of the heat and running. The thing is, you still got out there and got the job done. Hopefully we won’t have too many weeks like that, but there are some hot days coming up, so we’ll keep an eye on things and adapt the training when necessary. Well done to all of you for getting what you could out of this week. Wednesday 1st July is not only the Fast Sexarathon race, it’s also officially TRX Wolves’ half-year birthday! We’re six months old. We’ve grown into an amazing club in such a short space of time.   Another fantastic week for TRX Wolves. Both first-claim and second-claim athletes were out racing. Tom Pryor ran a really strong 800m at Birmingham University, with Dylan Illidge continuing to make excellent progress over the two laps. Julia Condon smashed her first marathon at the Walcot Wonder, a tough event made up of four-mile laps. Ian Mansell raced again midweek and took 4th overall and 1st M40 at the Blakedown Bolt 10k. As I write this from the beach in Corfu (lol), it's kind of making me chuckle that it's going to be warmer in Wolverhampton this week! With that in mind, we're going to make a few adjustments to hopefully help you get out and complete some quality sessions. The key to running in the heat is to hydrate well in the 12 hours beforehand and slow the efforts down a little. No heroes! Tuesday Warmed up and ready to go for 6.50pm on the Old Railway Track. Race updates: Barmouth 10K -  Well done to the Blair family for getting out there and racing. Lucy Calrow smashed it at the weekend by taking the win at the Offa's Dyke 15-mile race. Aunty Joan insisted she get out there and win, and that's exactly what she did! Oliver Jones won Wolverhampton parkrun. Not a race race, a win's a win. Ian Mansell finished 4th at the Aldridge 10K and won the M40. Good luck to Tom and Dylan, who toe the line this Wednesday on the track at Birmingham University. If you haven't been to a Birmingham University track meet, it's about time you did. It's a fantastic venue, and they really know how to host track and field events. It's also great to read that many of you are enjoying some off-road, hilly long runs and continuing to visit the Metal Tree!  TRX Weekly Round-Up Another busy and successful week for TRX, with plenty of racing, social running, volunteering, and a few local landmarks ticked off along the way. Our weekend started with the TRX takeover at East Park Parkrun. A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the morning such a success. From marshals and barcode scanners to timekeepers and tail walkers, the TRX team brought plenty of enthusiasm and encouragement to the course. A special mention must go to Rob Carrington, who completed his 600th volunteer stint this weekend. Rob has supported Parkrun across Wolverhampton for many years, including East Park, West Park and Junior Parkrun. It's an incredible achievement and one we're proud to celebrate. A special mention must go to Martha Cummings, whose vision, enthusiasm and dedication helped establish East Park parkrun.
