Week beginning 9th February

Well done to all of you for getting out and supporting your clubs at the cross countries. I hear the course was like a mud bath!

A big well done to Jonny Morris for finishing 3rd overall in the league. That’s a huge achievement. Another standout performance this weekend was James Neilson, who finished 25th in a loaded Home Countries International race. That’s a seriously good result, sir. It’s always fast and furious at that level..

Tuesday

Warmed up and ready to go, 6.50pm, Sabrina Road.

Half marathoners and marathoners:

16 × 400m with 80–90 secs recovery, then go again.

Everyone else:

8–12 × 400m with jog or walk recovery. You’ll do the first few at tempo, then 8 fast, with some tempo reps afterwards. This is for those training specifically for 10k and below.

Saturday

Warmed up and ready to go, 9.30am.

High Meadows for 25 minutes of hills. Marathon and half marathoners will then do 15 minutes of good steady running afterwards.

See you there, people.
