Week Starting 20th July
Another great week of training, and we're all getting used to the heat!
Races this week
Olly led the TRX Wolves back at the Ironbridge 4. It's a tough race and one that has historically been won by some extremely prolific athletes over the years. Our second-claim athletes also ran outstanding races, with Jonny Morris taking the win and James Neilson not far behind in 3rd place.
Well done to Jon Hart and birthday boy James Neilson, who also smashed it with outstanding runs at the Huxley 5 Miler. Jon came home first, and both finished in under 25 minutes.
News
The committee has got the Tettenhall 5K up and ready for entries! The race takes place on 16th September at 7:00pm, and we're going to need around 30 marshals, lead bikes, tail runners and volunteers to help keep runners safe with traffic management.
We'd love you to race, but if you can volunteer instead, we'd really appreciate it. The relays are on the Saturday, so consider helping out and saving your legs!
You can enter now via our website. Please help us by sharing the event and forwarding the details to as many people as possible. Thank you!
And in other news, our TRX Wolves Summer Handicap takes place on 8th August. It's open to runners from all clubs as well as non-club runners. It's just £3 to enter and is all about having a bit of fun... although we will be double-checking the times you submit for your handicap! 😄
Entries open on Wednesday via our website, so spread the word!
